What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy. Using her thumbs and fingers, Emma applies pressure to reflex points on your feet, which reflexologists believe relate to different areas of the body. If you'd rather not have your feet treated, your hands can be treated instead.
It's a wonderful choice if you want a relaxing treatment without undressing, and many clients find it one of the most soothing hours of their month.
What happens in your reflexology session
- A short consultation. Emma asks a few questions about your health and how you're feeling, to make sure reflexology is right for you today.
- Get comfortable. You take off your shoes and socks and relax on the heated treatment couch, with a blanket if you'd like one.
- The treatment. Emma works over each foot in turn, using different pressures and techniques, and explains what she's doing as she goes. The pressure is firm enough not to tickle.
- Afterwards. Take a moment before you get up. Most people feel calm and a little sleepy, so it's nice to take it easy for the rest of the day.

Who is reflexology for?
Reflexology suits most adults who'd like to relax and wind down from everyday stress. If you're pregnant, have a medical condition or are having treatment, please mention it when you book or call Emma first, so she can talk it through with you.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy. It isn't a replacement for medical care, so please keep seeing your GP about any health concerns.
